With the escalating electronic countermeasure technologies, active radar is facing a serious threat from enemy because of being susceptible to detection. With the use of other civil radiation sources such as the FM radio and television signals, passive radar will greatly improve the survival of the radar and platform. In this paper, the characteristics of passive radar are introduced and a detection method of passive radar based on mobile phone base stations is detailed. A solution of the key technologies is presented.
