Abstract:On a basis of the traditional microstrip patch antenna, E-shape patch antenna is obtained by loading two symmetric slots one another. The size of the E-shape patch antenna is calculated and the physical model is determined, from which such the parameters as the radiation pattern and echo loss are presented. The designed antenna can operate at the frequency of 1.88GHz to 2.4GHz, the frequency bandwidth is 25.2%, and the gain of the resonant frequency is up to 9.4dB. The antenna has advantages with simple structure, small size, and broadband and is applicable for engineering.
