Abstract:The phase of received array signal is influenced by the position error of antenna array element. The high-resolution direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms based on eigenvalue decomposition is very sensitive to phase error of array signal. For a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) array, we utilize self-calibration thought and a self-calibration weighting function which can be used for the weighed sum of the spectrum values from different directions is constructed in this paper. We use the MUSIC method to construct a degree of adaptability function based on genetic algorithms, and a joint estimation for array location error and DOA is implemented. Simulation results show that this method can provide the estimation of DOA, also can complete the on-line estimation and calibrate the array location error at the same time. Finally, the robustness of system parameters is improved.
