TACAN airborne receiver communicates with ground station over wireless channel. The wireless signals are received by airborne receiver over super heterodyne RF channel. The design of RF channel is of importance because the performance of the channels has a direct influence on TACAN distance measurement precision. Using a theoretical analysis, the influence of the harmonic inhibition of TACAN airborne receiver on distance measurement precision is provided for further reference of the RF channel design.
