Abstract:A miniaturized microstrip elliptic antenna is designed by a way of short-circuit probe loading. Comparing with a conventional microstrip antenna, the antenna reduces about 80% in the size of radiation patch. It has good capability of resistant to high temperature because its dielectric substrate and radome are made of high temperature materials and welded using special method. The antenna has good electrical performance in test date, with the gain greater than -0.5dB in the required angle and the un-roundess of pattern less than 1dB.
