Abstract:BOC modulation is a type of new modulation method, which realizes the split of spectrum to make full use of the available frequency bands, and possesses better autocorrelation property than the classic BPSK modulation, so can improve the precision of the positioning. Thus, the use of the Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) modulated signal in incoming satellite navigation systems can reduce the interference as it has low PSD at carrier frequency. the signal characteristic of BOC is analyzed in detail. BOC modulation signal has the advantages of correlate characteristics, code tracking accuracy and anti-jamming ability which are validated by the analysis and simulation of the power spectral density function, correlation function, Gabor bandwidth, and code tracking accuracy. According to the problems which can be brought by the tracking uncertainty of BOC modulation signal, several receiver techniques for BOC modulation signal are introduced in order to design the satellite signal and optimize the satellite system.
