As the basis of “information centric warfare”, data link is critical to the outcome of war. However, there is gap between the capability of current data link and the information requirement of future joint operations. The capability of reliable communication, intelligent management and control of operational resources，distributed network planning and management and processing and real-time application of intelligence data needs to be improved. In this paper, based on the development of advanced foreign programs and civilian technologies, the similarity between data link and relevant new technologies is studied. Besides, the application of these new technologies is analyzed.
