Radar technologies and capabilities are making progress, especially the Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars. In this paper, the status, operation requirements, developing trends of AESA radar are discussed. The AESA radar, with its operational flexibility and advanced performances, will improve the performance of airborne, space-borne, naval and ground radars.
