Wireless communication technology has an important influence on military operations, especially tactical operations, in the background of network centric warfare. However, at present, the military wireless communication equipment is mainly based on technology more than ten years ago or even in the Cold War era, and its performance is far behind the current civilian wireless communication technology. Therefore, the research on the application of civilian wireless communication technology in the military is of great significance for improving the technical level and operational support ability of the military wireless communication system. First the characteristics of military wireless communication technology are analyzed, and an overview of the development status and trend of civil wireless communication technology is provided. The application and advantages and disadvantages of civil wireless communication technology in the military field are introduced. Finally the research methods of adopting civil technology in military in the wireless communication technology under the background civil-military integration are given.
