Abstract:The generation mechanism of SMIW (Shock Magnetic Impulse Wave) was introduced in the beginning of paper, and the analysis of dual pole magnetic field also be given using the Maxwell equation. Basing on symmetrical coil, a pulse magnetic field collision device was designed and implemented. The influencing factor, such as the coil turns, range of action etc, is compared and analyzed in the test. The results show that, under the condition of the laboratory, the amplitude of the excitation signal is approximately 1/R rule decaying, and the characteristic of penetration comparing the SMIW is different obviously. The paper has some reference significance for the experimental study of SMIW.
