This paper describes the importance of approach program design for carrier, researches the basic flow chart of American carrier landing for carrier based aircraft, analyses the key factors which affects the safety of carrier landing. Moreover, this paper presents the basic principle and feasible methods for approach program design, includes checking steps and the standard requirement for approach program.
