Abstract:For the grating lobe suppression problem of distributed array, pattern design methods based on the ideas of aperiodic and random arrays are proposed. Firstly, Minimax optimization method is used to optimize the boundaries of distributed subarrays, and then the optimal parameters of the sub-array position are obtained, this will help to optimize the distribution of the random array, so as to eliminate the periodicity of the array and suppress the grating lobes in a maximum level. Secondly, the method of angular rotation is used to eliminate the periodicity between distributed subarrays, so that the accumulative superposition of the grating lobe can be avoided in the optimal design of the direction pattern. Simulation results show that the proposed methods can effectively suppress the grating lobes and obtain the distributed array pattern without grating lobe.
