Analysis and solution on a 1553B bus failure of MLS receiver are analyzed in the paper. Firstly, the failure was specified. Secondly, the location procedure of the failed element was described using fault tree analysis based on the structure of the MLS receiver. With experiments and analysis，the cause of the failure was identified. Finally, solutions were proposed with experimental verifications.
