While the trend in navigation appears to be toward an increased use of satellite guidance, ground-based navigation aids will retain a key role. The Doppler VHF Omni-Directional Range (DVOR) system standards is analyzed, revision suggestions for relevant standards is proposed, and compliance verification methods is provided. It can provide reference for DVOR development and standards revision.
