Abstract:The Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) is a new generation of satellite navigation landing guidancesystem developed by the International Civil Aviation Organization. GBAS realizes accurate positioning and approach guidance bybroadcasting satellite navigation differential correction information to airborne users in the coverage area. The primary selectionsituation on the GBAS station map of Beijing Capital International Airport is briefly introduced. Combined with the location andlayout of the GBAS equipment station at Beijing Capital Airport, the Very High Frequency (VHF) Data Broadcasting (VDB) signalcoverage situation is analyzed, and the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) performance of the airport is evaluated andanalyzed, verifying the feasibility of operating GBAS at Beijing Capital International Airport, and providing a technical basis for thesubsequent application of GBAS.
