The characteristics of Beidou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) signal and signal source broadcast signal are analyzed, its role in positioning, navigation and timing services is expounded, and the classification of test items and specific methods are discussed. The research shows that the Beidou satellite signal has the characteristics of high precision, multi-frequency band and anti-occlusion, and the signal source signal can flexibly simulate various test environments. Through the classification of test items and the analysis of typical test methods, the application scenarios of different signals in performance testing are further revealed.
