The purpose and development of flight data recorder is introduced, and a new type of flight data recorder based on Beidou positioning function is designed, which can separate from the plane when the plane crashes, and its own position information is reported quickly through the internal Beidou beacon module. It is convenient for users to quickly obtain flight data. The design of the new flight data recorder and the important performance verification methods is focused on, and the application prospects of the new flight data recorder in the aircraft are described.
