Abstract:The Ground-Based Augmentation System (GBAS) represents a novel approach to precision approach and landing guidance. It offers advantages such as strong anti-interference capabilities, support for multi-runway/multi-direction approaches (including curved approaches), reduced weather impact, enhanced airport throughput and flight punctuality. Flight inspection of civil aviation navigation equipment constitutes a crucial component in ensuring aviation safety. Through precise detection of equipment signal quality, system functionalities, and technical parameters, it guarantees the reliability and accuracy of navigation services. The paper primarily introduces the methods, test items and inspection content of GBAS flight verification. A detailed analysis was conducted on the flight inspection results for Runway 34L at Tianjin Binhai International Airport. The verification outcomes demonstrate that the GBAS implementation at Tianjin Binhai International Airport meets the accuracy requirements for Category I precision approach operations.
